Job Description
The Sr. ColdFusion Developer is responsible for the design and implementation of solutions to satisfy business and system requirements of scalability, reusability, maintainability and supportability. This position develops specifications and software for highly complex applications and modifies/maintains the existing platform. Must be capable of performing responsibilities independently, as a team, and under direction of senior staff members.
- Performs software programming to specifications using appropriate development tools
- Performs specification, architectural design, and programming for new applications
- Performs enhancement and maintenance programming for existing applications
- Performs customized programming to meet customer requirements
- Performs architectural and support responsibilities for existing and new applications
- Performs additional duties as workload and department projects require
Requirements:
- Intermediate to advanced CFML
- Intermediate to advanced HTML/JS/DHTML/CSS/AJAX
- Intermediate to advanced CFML related SQL development
- Intermediate to advanced EXTJS or equivalent JavaScript frameworks
- Intermediate to advanced CF Reporting
- Intermediate to advanced COM/.NET object instantiation/integration
- Intermediate to advanced administration of Adobe's ColdFusion 8 application server
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge implementing CF 8 on IIS
- General understanding of version control, unit testing and CF best practices
- Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to other technical staff members
- Ability to interface well with professional service staff, and other non-technical members of the organization
- Demonstrated aptitude for learning new technologies relevant to the progressive nature of the department and IT industry
- Knowledge relating to the area in which analysis and coding are performed
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to deliver high-quality deliverables on schedule
- Ability to work as a member of a project team, as well as independently with minimal supervision
- 4-year degree in Computer Science, or equivalent
- Minimum five (5) years experience with ColdFusion 7 (8 preferred) required
- Minimum three (3) years experience with database intensive applications using MS SQL 2000/2005 (experience with equivalent products will be considered) required
- Minimum five (5) years experience with JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and AJAX required
- ColdFusion framework (MVC) experience preferred
- Experience with OOP preferred
