ColdFusion Job Opportunity in Montvale, NJ

We are seeking a well-rounded senior ColdFusion web application developer. The developer will work on a large existing CFML codebase, collaborate on the design of new system features, and contribute to major new strategic projects. The ideal candidate is comfortable managing his or her own time, working independently, and developing new systems while helping to improve and optimize existing ones. But most importantly, this is a person who is smart and gets things done. NO AGENCIES.

Requirements

  • Minimum five years experience developing large applications with ColdFusion
  • Advanced knowledge of CF, including object-oriented development methodologies using CFCs
  • Advanced knowledge of JavaScript and jQuery
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of SQL, including experience with Microsoft SQL Server
  • Fluency with CSS, and with modern web application development methodologies and trends, including AJAX
  • Excellent written and spoken communications skills
  • Samples of code you've written yourself that you're proud of

Plusses

  • Experience integrating web applications with large enterprise procurement and ERP systems, like Ariba, Oracle, SAP, PeopleSoft (punchout, single sign-on, API integration, etc.)
  • Reputation on sites like Stackoverflow or Topcoder; Code samples on Github; Work on open-source projects; Blogging or other developer community interaction
  • Experience with PostgreSQL and Railo
  • Comfort at the command line
  • Comfort with Macs, Windows, and Linux
  • Aptitude for UX design
  • Experience working with CF frameworks
  • Experience with TDD

  • Heavy Coldfusion development experience (3+ years hands on)

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously, work well under pressure, and meet deadlines.
