Job Description

The qualified candidate will develop and maintain Software Applications and eBusiness/eCommerce Solutions to support customer and corporate needs in a team environment.  This position will also be involved in design, development, testing, documenting, installing, and support of those applications and interfaces between various systems.  Will need to assist in the development and evolution of Enterprise level sites and applications according to a distributed development and administration model, and assist with associated standards, style guides, templates and process documents.  Also in various training and communication related activities for users. H1B sponsorship not available. No Consulting Offers.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborate with Business Analyst and development team to integrate different perspectives into technical documentation
• Demonstrate best-practice knowledge and apply skills to deliver an effective solution specific to client needs
• Translate business and technical requirements into extensible, scalable and maintainable applications
• Design and Implement an efficient solution that meets the functional requirements and is extensible and easily maintained
• Extend existing or develop new code base using proven best-practice patterns and coding standards
• Understand functional and technical specifications
• Thoroughly unit test code for all contingencies outlined in the requirements documentation
• Check code and communicate task status in a timely manner

Desired Skills & Experience

• 2+ years of ColdFusion experience utilizing ColdFusion 8 or 9 (preferred)
• Experience with MVC frameworks a plus, Coldbox preferred
• SQL Server 2005/2008
• T-SQL Stored Procedures, Trigger and Functions
• Experience and proficiency using ColdFusion components
• Expert knowledge of HTML/CSS/JavaScript
• jQuery experience preferred
• Proven problem solving ability

ColdFusion developer with 4+ years of web application development experience, strong hands-on knowledge of CFML, CFC, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery. Full time or part time ColdFusion developer (telecommuting is an option) is needed to join a small web development team and work on exciting and challenging projects. 

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop, enhance and maintain CF 8/9 and Fusebox framework applications
• Ability to work with existing code, making improvements and maintenance changes, thoroughly documenting the logic
• Create documentation to record repeated procedures for other team members
• Work with MySQL databases
• Communicate progress and recommendations to the management
• Provide CF server tuning and administration
• Work with Windows 2008 server and IIS7
• Code frontend interface using HTML, JavaScript and CSS

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Strong knowledge of ColdFusion 8/9 including experience with CFCs, custom tags, CF Frameworks (Fusebox is preferred)
• Strong understanding of OOP concepts and methodologies
• Hands-on experience with MySQL
• Strong knowledge of XHTML, CSS, AJAX, XML and JavaScript (JQuery/Ext)
• Windows/IIS Experience
• Knowledge of search engine optimization is a plus

Company is an industry leader in healthcare software and is seeking and experienced ColdFusion MX Applications Developer to build and maintain front and back end applications.

 

Experience & Education:

• 3+ years experience with writing CF include using CFCs & AJAX function
• ColdFusion MX 7 and Source Control Software
• SQL and SQL Server 2000-2005 Development (Stored Procedures/ efficient SQL coding)
• Strong knowledge of Web development (XHTML, JavaScript, CSS, DOM)
• A solid understanding of the principles of good software design
• Development experience with other technology platforms (i.e. Java, JSP, ASP, .NET, PHP, Perl) a plus.

 

This position requires an individual with proven technical skills to define web portal based solutions to address complex consumer and enterprise customer care problems.

• Must be proficient in techniques that go into the formulation of solution architectures, including requirements discovery and analysis, solution alternatives identification and assessment, and definition of detailed requirements.
• It is desirable for candidate to have understanding of U-Verse, DSL, and mobility customer care systems and processes.
• Must have hands on experience with IBM WebSphere Portal technology, and must also be familiar with Java Specification Request (JSR) 168 and JSR 286 standards.
• Must have hands on experience developing portlets.
• This job requires applied knowledge of how to mediate opposing viewpoints and negotiate equitable solutions to ensure successful and stable outcomes.
• Must be able to demonstrate mastery of written and verbal communication skills which include ability to stay on subject, leverage use of good feedback, and use content appropriate for the audience.

• A broad set of application programming skills in languages such as Java, C++, PHP, and ColdFusion. 
• Proficient coding and testing web application programs using the Groovy programming language in the grails framework (1.1.1, 1.3.7)
• Proficient with log4j; criteria builder; hibernate; 
• Proficient with web services, JSON, and XML.
• Proficient with javascript; ajax; yui.

• Ability to write and maintain script processes in Pearl or UNIX shell scripting for file brokering and data loading.
