Job Description:
You will be working at one of the preeminent, small but quickly growing software companies in the country. The focus of this work is on the development of web-based applications and components to automate event reporting, data mining, visualization and inferential reasoning for several government customers. Specific tasks will focus on the development of ColdFusion, JavaScript and Flash applications/components for use in intelligence and operations support systems for the military. Database design and architecture design experience is required. Additional work will focus on the integration of our system components with emerging intelligent agent standards and design patterns.
The primary program on which you will work, CIDNE, is an important and widely used web application for reporting and analysis by military organizations. You will also work with another of our company’s primary products, WebTAS, which is a suite of data visualization, trend analysis, and data integration tools made available to analysts throughout the intelligence community. WebTAS can be deployed as both a thick client and a web-based application, while CIDNE resides completely on the web. You will be working as an integral part of our development team, assisting with managing the integration effort, liaising with our government customers to formulate product requirements, as well mentoring and domain modeling. Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline and 3-9 years of experience in software engineering, 8 years of additional experience, applicable training and/or certifications may be substituted for the Bachelor’s Degree
- Working knowledge of the US intelligence community and DOD systems.
- Minimum of 4 yrs of ColdFusion or JSP for web applications development
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of RDBMS, SQL, HTML, JavaScript, ColdFusion, and XML
Desired Skills:
- Experience in Java application development and J2EE design patterns and implementation
- J2EE web services development experience
- Adobe Flash development experience

Description/Required Skills:
- Minimum 5 to 7 years of professional development experience.
- Programming experience with Dreamweaver, ColdFusion 8.0 (minimum of 4 years
- development experience), Flex 3.0 (1+ year is fine), HTML, XML, XHTML, CSS, JavaScript.
- Technical knowledge and experience in the development of database applications
- using Access and SQL, and with building complex SQL queries to generate Access reports and/or ColdFusion Report Builder reports.

- B.S. Computer Engineering or equivalent
- 4-8 years experience in a software development / support role with at least 2 years experience developing/supporting ColdFusion MX 6 (or higher) applications on either a windows or Linux environment.
- Experience with AS/400 based applications programming in RPG and CL along with DB2/400 is a definite plus, but not required.
- Strong analytical & troubleshooting skills are required and will share in a 7x24 on-call schedule.

Qualifications

- Develop dynamic web content using client server technologies and/or third party software (Clarity, Siebel)
- Apply logic and code standardization to web development activities

- Provide internal support for application issues and ad hoc queries from users
- Create new databases and associations based on project requirements
- Deploy application into the production environment in accordance with requirements, with guidance
- Communicate with cross-functional teams to understand business processes and requirements
