As a Web Developer, your essential job functions will include the following:

• Design, develop, and implement leading edge solutions that will meet the needs of our customers
• Participate in the entire software development life cycle for enterprise class Business-To- Business (B2B) applications

• Provide systems integration leadership.

• Responsible for the design, development, and testing of application programs utilizing defined development processes, tools, standards, and methodologies.

• Requires a four-year degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems or 4+ years of I/T experience.  

• Minimum 2 years of experience developing web applications.

Experience in the design, implementation and tuning of applications utilizing HTML, CSS, JavaScript, CFML, XML, XSLT, Java, JSP, JDBC, web services, SOAP, web servers (IIS 5.0/6.0), application servers (ColdFusion 5 or MX).
• 
Experience developing ColdFusion applications using methodologies (Mach-II, FuseBox, cfObjects)  
• 
Experience with SQL Server 2000.
• 
Experience in developing web applications in Macromedia Flex, Flash, AJAX, and/or ActionScript is a plus.

• Experience with ERP systems (Oracle, PeopleSoft, SAP, and JD Edwards) is a plus.

Duties/responsibilities:

• The selected candidate will provide ColdFusion web development software engineering for a large scale project. The engineer translates customer requirements into design and code for each module.Â
• This position will work closely with the project lead and other developers as well as externals.Â
• Candidate will code to standard as defined by the project, thoroughly test, and document own code.
• The Software Engineer will be responsible for delivering ColdFusion web development services for the presentation layer of a 3-tiered web application.

MINIMUM

• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 9 years of professional experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered an emerging authority.

REQUIRED

• The selected candidate will have ColdFusion software development experience including .Net development experience in C#, ASP.NET and Web Services using .NET 3.0/3.5 frameworks (including Windows Communication Foundation).
• Experience with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and the development of SOA strategies and roadmaps.
• Experience in developing enterprise level database using Microsoft SQL Server Enterprise 2005 or higher, including developing DTS Packages, Store Procedures, Views, and Triggers.
• The Engineer must have solid Understanding of System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) principles.

DESIRED...

• Preferred experience with SQL Server Reporting Services.
• The Engineer should have solid understanding of T-SQL and MS SQL.

Local company is looking for a mid level ColdFusion Developer to join their team for a short term contract opportunity. This person is being brought on board to complete a series of enhancements and upgrades to an existing system that company uses for their "portal".
This system is currently used as their internal portal product which produces small research information for future customers.
Company built this product eight years ago as an interim solution for it's sales team.
Company has decided to invest in revamping this product to help generate more revenue.
The application was written in coldfusion with SQL Server as it's database.
This application needs a significant amount of enhancements completed to it.
The requirements are already gathered and this person will need approximately 400 hours to tighten them up and begin the development process.
