Our Central Florida based Client is seeking a Senior Web Developer to help lead multiple new Web Projects and Enhancements.

 

The ideal candidate will be familiar with the web technology stack including JavaScript, HTML, XHTML. CSS, Ajax, Java, JSP, Spring and Coldfusion is a strong Plus. Should have strong experience programming dynamic web applications and be familiar with web development paradigms and one or more industry standard frameworks

 

Experience with RDBMS such as Oracle, SQL Server, etc. Familiar with change management/source control (Subversion, VSS, CVS, Harvest, etc.) and have an understanding of software development lifecycles and associated development techniques.

 

Should have experience with software development in Unix and Windows environments and will be comfortable leading small groups of developers and/or working independently to successfully complete enhancements and bug fixes to custom software applications. Writes software utilizing a wide variety of industry standard tools and frameworks

 

Reviews requirements documentation, creating and modifying application architecture documentation to meet the needs of the requirements under direction from a Technical Lead or Software Architect and Produces high quality work to strict development standards in a fast paced environment.

We are looking for a Java web application developer who possesses strong Java, Oracle and web application development skills and also has ColdFusion development experience.  The candidate must be a quick learner, and a customer-focused self-starter who is able to work independently and work well in a team environment.

Responsibilities:

• Migration of three existing MMHSRP web applications from a ColdFusion (version 8)/Oracle 10g environment, to Java/Oracle 11g in an Oracle WebLogic 11 Application Server environment.
• Ability to troubleshoot multiple ColdFusion and Oracle WebLogic web applications and provide timely fixes for software bugs, database defects and system defects.
• Provide technical support for application users.
• Develop optimized/cross-platform front-end code in CSS/XHTML and JavaScript.
• Create and maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation.
• Participate in group improvement activities and initiatives to improve quality and pursue excellence.
• Learning new skills to enhance productivity and deliver new products to meet customer requirements.

Qualifications:

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of knowledge, skills, and abilities:

Required:

• 3+ years of proficiency and hands on experience developing Java web applications.
• 2+ years of proficiency and hands on experience developing ColdFusion web applications.
• Experience with HTML/XHTML/CSS/JavaScript.
• Experience with Java IDE- Jdeveloper10/11 preferred (or other IDE experience).
• Experience developing secure Java web based applications on Oracle WebLogic Application Server 11g
• Experience developing secure Java web based applications using Java 1.4/1.5/1.6, JSPs, Servlets, JSTL
• Experience compiling Java code and building WAR and EAR files for deployment.
• Experience with Oracle 10g/11g database triggers, tables, sequences, stored procedures, DML and DDL statements.
• Experience with SQL and PL/SQL.
• Ability to work independently and balance multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.

We have urgent requirement for JAVA DEVELOPER WITH COLDFUSION

Location: Swiftwater, PA
Duration: 12+ Months
Rate: Open

DUTIES
The contractor will perform various development tasks throughout the development cycle, providing feedback based upon the specific change requirements and business needs, while adhering to the project schedule. The contractor will also need to understand and adhere to web development guidelines that have been established.

Maintenance
The contractor will assist in maintaining established web applications including, but not limited to content updates, code updates, performance tuning and troubleshooting.

Implementation
The contractor(s) will oversee moving of the changes to the system successfully based on established web guidelines.

The scope of this effort encompasses, but is not limited to the following activities pertaining to this project:

• Design documentation
• Coding and implementation of new functionality
• Unit testing

SKILLS

• Cold Fusion Developer with 2-5 years* experience with creating complex Cold Fusion applications.
• Developer should be knowledgeable of SQL query language and basic database architecting.
• The Developer should be familiar with popular Cold Fusion frameworks such as Mach-II and Fusebox 5.5.
• Developer should also be experienced with object oriented programming. Java, Flex, XCode (Objective C) and or .Net experience a plus.
• Extensive experience with client side technologies such as JavaScript, CSS are necessary as well.

EDUCATION

• BS in related field, or equivalent work experience demonstrated.

Candidate will be working with other team members in development of ColdFusion applications and maintenance to existing code.
