Provide web application development expertise to support mission requirements. Duties will include creating and maintaining a variety of web applications for different Air Force organizational groups.

Required Skills and Duties

• Ability to design and create application code using ColdFusion, HTML, JQuery, JQuery UI ( some C# for helper classes).
• Experience creating and maintaining Web applications to be Section 508, FIPS 140, and HIPPA compliant
• Strong Oracle and SQL Server development experience. Experience analyzing, writing and understanding complex SQL queries, stored procedures and scripts.
• Use Dreamweaver, Toad, Quest data modeler, SQL Server Management studio, Adobe Fireworks, and Microsoft Office programs

Other Helpful Skills

• Experience with AJAX a plus
• Experience with both T-SQL and PL/SQL a plus.
• Experience implementing data migration solutions using PL/SQL, Transact-SQL or platform tools such as SSIS a plus
• ETL and other data warehouse experience a plus.
• Visual Studio and SSIS experience a plus
• Ability to analyze and understand legacy applications written in T-SQL, VB6, Visual Basic.Net, Microsoft Access & VBA a plus.

Description

The successful candidate will be an experienced ColdFusion programmer skilled in new application development and in supporting existing ColdFusion applications.  Further, the successful candidate will have experience using ColdFusion development frameworks such as Fusebox and Model-Glue and utility frameworks such as Transfer and ColdSpring.  The selected candidate will work directly with clients gaining an understanding of their needs, translating those needs into functional requirements, documenting said requirements, and building ColdFusion applications that meet the identified needs.

Requirements

Qualified candidates with a Baccalaureate or equivalent preferred.   Four years of work experience designing, building, and administering strategic or high volume ColdFusion web applications for diverse audiences required.  Must be an experienced user of standard web technologies (HTML, CSS, and JavaScript), have experience in using AJAX and at least one JavaScript framework such as jQuery or Ext JS, and be highly knowledgeable about current web design trends and techniques.  Must have solid experience in designing database tables and efficient SQL queries:  experience with writing queries against Oracle tables is preferred.  Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills and have the ability to communicate effectively with both technical staff and non-technical stakeholders.  Experience working with Business Intelligence applications or designing statistical reports is preferred.  Qualified candidates should also be self-motivated, capable of working independently and/or as a technical lead as needed.

Qualifications:

1. BA/BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
2. Three to five years of experience in Cold Fusion and related technologies, with a strong foundation in software engineering principles.
3. Knowledge of CF 8 Enterprise features, AIR and Flex.
4. Knowledge of internet, intranet, and extranet systems design (security, content management, eCommerce, web, and application servers).
5. Excellent communication skills (written and oral).
6. Ability to explain complex technical issues in a way that non-technical people may understand.
7. User interface experience a plus.
8. Knowledge of IT governance and operations.
